School Bus Ontario (SBO) has been working diligently to move the needle with the government to fix the funding formula that has caused so many issues across the province. From the change in the fuel peg, leaving many members with huge funding gaps to the issues relating to the R&R and general underfunding of our sector, SBO has been active in speaking out publicly to reverse the damage. All of this requires additional financial resources to help us with external communications and media outreach.
The Board of Directors is therefore reaching out to you to ask for your help so that we can not only continue with our communications strategy, but to expand it to really put pressure on the government. We have a strategic plan to continue using the news media to spread our message but it necessitates additional financial resources to execute the plan properly. We need your help so we can get student transportation on the agenda at Queen’s Park!
We are asking for the following from our membership:
- Small operators: 0 to 99 routes: $750
- Medium operators: 100 to 299 routes: $1,500
- Large operators: 300 or more routes: $2,500
